Bak Kut Teh
If there is an opportunity, I would like to bring friends to the Founder Rou Gu Cha cafetaria at 347 Balestier Road, Singapore 32977.
My favourite dish besides the bak kut teh soup, of course, is the pig's trotter. The meat is thick and succulent and not so fatty, topped with chinese celery (my favouite).
What I appreciate is that refills of the bak kut teh is available. The waiters would go on rounds of refills at every table. The soup looks whitish and not as dark as the other versions available but the taste is certainly better than other versions.
While you wait for the food to arrive, you can admire various film stars' pictures at the restaurant. The pictures are pasted all over the walls, some even overlapping each other.
Definitely worth a try.
